Bambinos has been in business for over 6 ½ years and is family owned and operated by Sonya Higgin, mother of 3 and employs her mom, Saby Higgin, and one other employee, Trish Hirsch. Both Sonya and her mom were born and raised in Cadboro Bay and both still reside in Cadboro Bay.

Bambinos has its roots in Sonya's earlier Head Threads wholesale hat business. In the beginning, Bambinos focused mainly on baby products but merchandise selection evolved to suit customers. Sonya kept the name, saying, "Everybody is somebody's baby" and there is most definitely something for everyone at Bambinos. Bambinos prides itself in buying many locally made items from talented artists, and also prides itself in buying Canadian made products whenever possible, and enjoys supporting the local community.

Bambinos is a nifty little store located in the Cadboro Bay Village, 3828 Cadboro Bay Road, Victoria, B.C. and is more like a treasure hunt because there is so much on shelves, in cabinets, inside drawers and stacked in corners and crannies. Some items are new. Others are used.

Low prices on quality items – and good service – is driving our business. And word-of-mouth buzz about our little store is traveling fast. Bambinos does not believe in a huge markups. We call ourselves "the Little Store with Heart"…..

Bambinos is a friendly spot where many customers are known by name. Wander through the store and you may find yourself chatting to shoppers, the owner, Sonya Higgin, her mom, Saby Higgin, who runs the shop Sundays to Wednesdays and refinishes furniture, and Trish Hirsch manages the store Thursdays through Saturdays and does its interior design. Many customers say Bambinos is a one of a kind really different store and that's so hard to find in this day and age.

We delight in selling Adult Clothing & Accessories, especially the Pure Sweater line and their Neon Buddha casual line, and Pretty Woman dresses and tops, our most famous "Ruffle" skirts, hats, scarves, gloves, purses, jewelry, including Not Your Nana's Silver bracelets, made from recycled silverware, Fab Jewelry, Feather Earrings, locally made fingerless gloves, hats and a three in one – it's a hat, it's a scarf, it's a shrug item, and in our baby section we pride ourselves in selling Canadian made Head Thread Hats, Minky Blankets, Padraig Slippers, Jack & Lily shoes, Squeaker Shoes, Warm Buddies, to name just a few. And don't forget to check out our beaded purses, pot holders, toys, books, vases, candle holders, teapots, cookie jars, our vintage items, cookie cutters at $1 each and oh so much more fills our store.
